Spider Veins & Sclerotherapy with Asclera®

If you are a little shy about your legs because of ugly veins, NOW is the time to make an appointment with our Los Angeles-area plastic surgeon, Dr. Max Lehfeldt. He uses a special medication called ASCLERA® that he administers to treat your spider veins or small varicose veins.

Treatment is minimally invasive and only takes about 15-45 minutes! Asclera® is a FDA-approved medication. Before you know it, you can SHOW OFF THOSE LEGS!

Spider veins are most common in women and are usually found on the thighs, calves, and ankles. Spider veins are a small cluster or grouping of veins close to the skin surface. These are usually caused by medications, heredity, hormones, weight gain, or occupations/activities that involve extensive standing or sitting. To minimize these unsightly veins, sclerotherapy is utilized. It is a simple procedure that involves injection of a medication that will collapse the vein and cause it to fade.

A series of treatments (3-5 treatments separated by 3-4 weeks) may be required for optimal results. Risks of this treatment can include allergy, formation of blood clots, inflammation, skin injury that could cause small scars, or pigmentation changes. Patients that are not candidates for treatment are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking blood thinners.
